posted: 9 October, 2025
The Swiss Network with Ukraine (SNU), in partnership with the City of Lviv and the City and Canton of Zurich , is launching a major test planning process for the area of Lviv North / Zboishcha. This district, home to the UNBROKEN rehabilitation facilities, is central to Lviv’s evolving role as a hub of resilience, care, and recovery.
Five interdisciplinary teams—composed of Ukrainian and European, including Swiss, planning offices—will develop strategic proposals addressing housing, healthcare, infrastructure, and social spaces. The results will form the basis for a new master plan and contribute to Lviv’s sustainable urban development.
By linking Swiss expertise in cooperative planning with Ukrainian urban innovation, this collaboration seeks to advance participatory, resilient approaches to post-war reconstruction—offering valuable insights for Lviv and other Ukrainian cities.
